NATIONAL THEATRE REGULATIONS

REGARDING THE GRANTING OF MEDIA ACCREDITATION

 

§ 1 Definitions

Whenever the Regulations refer to:

Regulations – these are the regulations of the National Theatre regarding the granting of media accreditation;

The Theatre – this is the National Theatre, a state artistic institution, entered into the register of cultural institutions under the number RIK 48/98 (the register is maintained by the Ministry for Culture and National Heritage), with a Tax Identification Number (NIP) of 525-20-59-426, and with its registered office in Warsaw at Plac Teatralny 3, 00-077 Warsaw;

Event – this is a theatrical performance or other artistic event or event promoting theatrical culture taking place at the Theatre and covered by the Theatre's ticketing system; 

Media – this refers to the editorial offices of the press (daily newspapers and magazines), of websites, as well as of radio, television, and other mass media;

Accreditation – this refers to the right to participate in an Event for the purpose of creating a review, report, or other public statement regarding the Event;

Accreditation Ticket – this refers to a ticket held by a person accredited by the Theatre, who, subject to seat availability, may purchase one ticket for 30 zloties for a companion to go to the same Event on the same date;

Accredited Person – this refers to a person holding a valid Accreditation.

 

§ 2 Scope

These Regulations apply to all persons applying for Accreditation or holding a valid Accreditation. Akredytację.

 

3 Rules for Granting Accreditation and Accreditation Tickets

1. Accreditation is granted to applicants representing the media who plan to make a public statement about the Event covered by the Accreditation.

2. Accreditation is for a single person.

3. Accreditation is granted subject to seating availability, upon an application submitted in writing to the following email address: media@narodowy.pl. The application must include information about the form, medium, and approximate date of the public statement about the Event.

4. Receiving Accreditation obliges the Accredited Person to make a public statement about the Event.

5. In exceptional cases, the Theatre reserves the right, with the consent of the Director of the National Theatre, to exempt the Accredited Person from the obligation to make a public statement about the Event.

6. Accredited individuals, subject to seating availability, are entitled to purchase one accreditation ticket for a companion for the same Event on the same date and at the same time, at a price of 30 zloties.

7. The Director of the National Theatre shall decide on the granting of accreditation and the right to purchase an accreditation ticket.

8. Submitting an application for accreditation constitutes acceptance of these Regulations.

9. Submitting an application for accreditation does not constitute the granting of accreditation.

10. Granting a media outlet the title of media patron or establishing editorial cooperation does not constitute the granting of accreditation.

 

§ 4 Rules for Accredited Persons

1. An accredited person is obligated to notify the Theater if they cannot use their Accreditation.

2. An accredited person is obligated to collect their Accreditation no later than 15 minutes before the start of the Event.

3. An accredited person is obligated, after publication, to make any and all public statements regarding the Event available to the Theater in a manner previously agreed upon with the Theater.

4. An accredited person is obligated to comply with all generally applicable regulations, in particular those arising from the Law on the Press (“Prawo prasowe”), the Copyright and Related Rights Act (“ustawa o prawie autorskim i prawach pokrewnych”), and the provisions of the Civil Code (“Kodeks cywilny”), particularly those concerning personal rights.

5. The Theater shall provide press materials, including photos, to the accredited person. These materials are available on the www.narodowy.pl website, in the "For the Media" section. Passwords to download packages containing photos and other high-resolution graphic materials (located in the "For the Media" / "Downloads" tab) are provided to members of the media by the Communications and Marketing Department (contact: media@narodowy.pl, tel. +48 22 69 20 729). If downloaded materials are to be published, they must be credited in accordance with the template included in the selected package.

6. While on the Theatre’s premises, an accredited person is obligated to observe the Theatre's rules of conduct and movement, in particular those resulting from occupational health and safety and fire safety regulations, as well as the Regulations on the Booking and Sale of Tickets and Vouchers, and also the Rules for Participating in Events that were applicable at the National Theatre in Warsaw during the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, as published on the Theatre's website. They are also obligated to follow the instructions of any persons designated by the Theatre to supervise compliance with these regulations and rules.

7. The Theatre has the right to demand that any Accredited Persons who do not comply with the rules set out in these Regulations leave the Theatre.
